Industry Green certified
The Centre for Life has achieved Industry Green certification in 2011/12 and is awarded 1 star in recognition of its commitment to managing its carbon footprint and improving its environmental impacts.
Industry Green certification is developed by Julie's Bicycle for music, theatre and the wider creative industries. By achieving Industry Green certification the Centre for Life is joining the UK creative industries' response to climate change and environmental sustainability.
The assessment of the Centre for Life’s carbon emissions covered data from April 2010 to March 2012 and includes emissions from energy, water and waste. This assessment excludes the emissions deriving from audience travel, event logistics, artist travel, staff commuting, catering, concessions and merchandise.
