With squeals of “Cool”, “Excellent” and “Amazing!” the region’s first 4D motion ride is getting the thumbs up from visitors to the Life Science Centre this half term.
The adrenalin-fuelled ride allows visitors to see, hear, smell and feel the action as it unfolds on screen thanks to special effects such as water spray, wind, smoke and smells coupled with moving seats and 3D films.
Scarlett Ash-Ingley, aged 12 from Bedford, said: “The motion ride was excellent. I screamed when the water sprayed on me and couldn’t stop laughing!”
The film currently showing is Hover Chase, a high octane adventure during which state of the art hover bikes and their riders are pushed to their limits as they vie for pole position in a race that sees them travelling through city streets, oil refineries, forests, and caves.
Ben Martin, aged, 6, from Hebburn, described it: “You feel like you are on a hover bike racing along, I was dodging the trees and swerving to avoid crashing, it was excellent and I can’t wait to go on again!”
