For adults, there's a Speakeasy all about life with robots
Could robots help solve the UK’s social care crisis? Join this Speakeasy, part of Life’s British Science Week, to explore the role of “carebots” on Thursday 13 March, from 6:30pm.
Ticket holders can also see Luma (pictured above), a glowing robotic snail, before the debate.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer just to see Luma and skip the debate, we have limited tickets available for £5.00 each, at 2pm daily until Friday 14 March.

For schools, there are special workshops throughout March
North East students can take part in special robotics-themed workshops this March to celebrate British Science Week 2025.
All workshops link to the Computing curriculum while also building key skills like communication and teamwork.
From Monday 10 – Friday 14 March, students will get the chance to visit Luma, the giant, glowing robotic snail (pictured above).
