Design an alien

Is your child always dreaming up weird and wonderful creatures? Their imagination could take centre stage in Life: The Greatest Story, our new 360° immersive dome show this summer. 

We’re inviting children to design an alien – complete with a backstory about its home planet and how it survives in a strange environment. The most creative entry may feature in the show… and the winner’s family will receive an annual membership to the science centre (existing memberships will be extended).

If you’re visiting over the Easter holidays, you can pick up a competition sheet from reception. Alternatively download an activity sheet below.

How to enter: Simply email a photo of your child’s creation to competitions@life.org.uk by 28 April 2025. Or you can hand this sheet to a member of the Life team in the science centre. Remember to include your child’s name and age.

Competition T&Cs. Prize consists of the following: Life Science Centre annual membership (choose 1 adult and 3 child passes or 2 adult and 2 child passes). Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable, Already a member? You can win an extra 12 months on your current membership. No cash alternative available. Competition will close on 28/04/25.
